SURVIVE
The details of how Cian rescued Kyren aren’t known. There’s a few reasons behind this. For one, most of the recruits to the Cloisters were rescued in some way, making Kyren’s story a common occurrence. The other issue was that getting the details of the rescue involved casually speaking to Cian. Kyren himself doesn’t have much recollection of the events. This is mostly chalked up to the idea that learning human languages affected his memories prior to speaking.

Despite the things most people were exposed to in the Dreamverse (or maybe because of them) Kyren wasn’t universally accepted when he first entered the Cloisters. Fifteen foot tall humanoid cats are ok as collectible action figures or CGI’ed allies in a movie. But actively seeing one move around a space you’re sharing with it? Not so much.

Tools fascinate Kyren. The idea of transforming parts of nature into specific problem solving devices is pure magic to him. Naturally, wanting to learn more about these items has lead to collecting them, and discovering how diverse they can be. From building shelters, to communicating ideas, to even fixing other tools, they never cease to amaze him. Sometimes, while slowly polishing his weapons he wonders what it means that more energy has been spent in creating devices that harm instead of help.

CHANGE
An extra thumb on each hand allows Kyren to hold onto weapons more firmly. It also gives him the ability to experiment with unique grips that lead to unique techniques.
